Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Cleanup Review

Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Cleanup

Benefits of Pure and Clear Skin

  • Wash
  • Scrub
  • Pack
  • Oil Remover
  • Spot Remover

Total Face Cleanup Regime - in 5 minutes

Step1:
Apply the product to moistened face by smoothly massaging in upward circles focusing on forehead, nose & chin, avoiding the eye area.

Step2:
Spread evenly across face & leave it on for 3-4 minutes.

Step3:
Rinse off with Lukewarm water to get the perfect complexion.

My Experience with Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Cleanup:

Last week, I was at supermarket I was way to tempted to try this one but I resisted but then Jiya of Shopping Style and us reviewed this and I had to get this, reading good result it showed up on her.
So I finally laid my hands over it.
You can check her Experience here.
I tried on two types of Skin: Normal/Combination which is mine & Oily, my brother’s.

The Texture is neither Creamy nor Clay based but it is somewhat in between, It dense opaque white which looks opaque even on spreading. The scrub beads/particles are aqua blue in colour and very minute, not at all harsh like that of scrubs.
It does not foam but deep cleans leaving behind a squeaky  clean skin.
I followed the instruction as given on the packaging and use it as a scrub and pack.

And the result was:

  • Cleansed Skin.
  • Oil-free, Mattified
  • My Forehead, Cheeks and Nose was glowing!
  • Scrubbed effect.
  • Soft to touch

Price: 99 INR
Quantity: 50 ml
Shelf life: 30 months.

What I loved about Nivea Pure Effect Total Face Cleanup:

My Forehead, Nose and cheeks were Glowing. Oh boy! that rarely happens in winters, when my skin is tad dry.
I loved using this as Facepack than scrub. Okay both!
My Brother found the Fragrance refreshing.
And the skin feels and looks refreshed as well.
My Brother’s skin was super clean and bright! He’s dark and his skin looked mattified and bright.
Even though I’m wheatish  and I couldnot see any brightening effect on mine, Maybe it worked on his Tan.
Spending 5 minutes for a Cleanup? It’s all worth. It does give effect of an At-Home Cleanup, but not that of Salon cleanup ( Okay. I had been at Enrich for a Cleanup just once)

What I didn’t Love:

The Fragrance bothered me, it was like some salt fumes, like K2sno4 or whatever!
Yes it was like Bleach, I think. Or was it the paint fumes. ( I’m confused here)
Nothing else, really.

Final Verdict:
I loved this multipurpose product which you can use as Facewash, Mild scrub and Facepack, and it does provide an At-Home Cleanup effect, which exactly takes 30 minutes.
If you run with the second or minute hand: This is for you.
I’m letting this be on my shelf for instant cleanup or for days when I’m too lazy.
I loved this actually for the glow that it brings.
99 bucks aren’t much to try, Give it a try You’ll either Love it or Detest it! For sure.

I'm a turned impulse buyer

I never was until... I had to shop for stationery and I got lured with these all!
I wanted notebooks and post its, Pens and some crayons...for candles.
Now you don't want to see my stationery, do you?

And now, When I look at the retail therapy I'd this afternoon...

I honestly wanted to buy just Nivea Total cleanup but all the other were stray :P So I had to pick them up ;)

Reviews don't make me happy!
Trying does
-An impulse buyer, Idee. :P

I think I need a new vanity or atleast storage and ideas, lots of them. I'm out of space.

Oh My MUA...

A word spreads like a fire!

I wanted to try MUA since I came across few reviews that the 'Undressed' and 'Heaven and Earth' Palettes are Naked 1 & 2 dupes.
I'm dreaming of UD Naked...

I saved my savings and asked my friend to buy me from his paypal in December but then this happened!
MUA hit 35k likes and they screamed out the 35% off with free shipping!
You'd dare to think, I resist.

And I 'udaofied' all my money in CUSTOMS :-(
And to add more disappointment, The Artiste palette came in broken and a Mascara all dried up! :o
But I'm still happy that none of my products went missing. I shelled out 590 INR as custom duty!
Say out loud 'Custom' and I shudder :-(
But... But.. I'm still getting stuff with their 50K likes offer. ;-)

Here what all I got when I was way too greedy!

MUA Heaven and Earth Palette
MUA The Artiste Palette
MUA BB creams 2 in Medium and one in Light.
MUA Face Primer
MUA Eye Primer
MUA Powder Blushes in shade 1,2 & 4
MUA Cream blush in Bittersweet
MUA Single eyeshadow- Black
MUA Pro-Eyebrow kit
MUA Gel eye liner in On-the-go (missing from the picture)
MUA Mascara: One washable and other washproof.
MUA Eye definer in Auburn
MUA Compact in shade 2
I think I misplaced one product, I can't find with all mess at my place.
I haven't tried any of it yet, I just packed all of it and kept in my vanity safely!

When all the renovation mess is cleaned, I will safely pull out all at once and color my face like a clown. Hah!

Did you get anything?

Sleek I-divine Au Naturel

Sleek Blush in Flamingo

I am simply awestruck with Au-Naturel. And now there is something I'm going to use everyday.
I cannot imagine more happiness than finding someday(before its too late) that I've just hit the pan!
I'm surely repurchasing this one again.
And for Flamingo Blush, see for yourself ;-)

Now I canot wait to get some more from Sleek.

Well My bill was $30.44 including the shipping and I had to pay 330 INR as customs.
Not much of a pinch to my pocket.

Total Spent: Around 2000 Bucks!
Remember there wasn't a single crack or slight damage. That makes me more happy!

Eye Trend For Fall

Whether you're partial to a cat eye or colorful shadows, this season is all about the statement eye. Sharpen your pencils and dust off your brushes as we take a look at the best new looks from the fall 2012 runways.

The Modern Cat Eye

How To Wear It: Trace on liner using a fine-tipped makeup brush (the better for getting the perfect curve and flicked-up edge) and go for a gel formula with a high-gloss finish to catch the light.
- Harper Bazaar

If you don't have Gel eyeliner...[ Yes it is possible, If you're a make- up novice or have a limited budget or even can't do with Gel eyeliner]
Here a simple trick to Cat eyeliner or substitute for gel eyeliner.

You need: A Black eyeshadow and Eyeliner brush. Thats all.

Damp the bristles of brush and smear in the eyeshadow pot, enough to let the powder the bristles.
Line your eyes with the brush, and shape them according to your need. If you want slight gel eyeliner glossy look, aafter you damp your bristles smear light petroleum jelly on the brush.

Eyeliner using Colorbar Black tie eyeshadow.

Gel Eyeliner, I've used Maybelline Dramatic Gel eyeliner.

Hope you can notice the difference, It is a subtitute after all.
If you want soft defined eyes with less or not much drama, You can always play safe with Black Eyeshadow!
If you're used to Drama and eccentricity, Well I'm not stopping you. :P
I'd love to try it with Matte eyeshadow, you can try colored ones too.

Incase, You're wondering about the products used.

Personally I love using Eyeshadows as eyeliners.

P.S. I'm not claiming that I did Cat eye, this is how I generally wear eyeliner. *Grin*
