A Timeline of Togetherness

Let’s do this together.

As he said, there was a galore of determination that sparkled in his rusty brown eyes. He rose from the floor, where he sat arranging all those boxes that had their things packed neatly. They moved into their new house, and M was still nervous about the old place. She was neophobic and often shied away from exploring new places to eat or wouldn’t be comfortable to try something different than usual. She was different, where women would buy heaps of clothes; jewellery and makeup she would often buy something store it for long as she could forget she has something new.
She liked visiting the same place every day, drink same Hot Cocoa from the same cafe and read same genre of books. She had drawn her very own comfort zone in her head and she wouldn’t smudge the boundaries.
That is what He loved about her; she found solace in the routine and tedium that people often get bored easily with. She had a rock solid determination and she wasn’t bored of the monotony while he was unreliable and very versatile in his approach toward life and everything else.
Both of them started unpacking the boxes and arranging the kitchen. As she looked at him, there was a distinct regard for him. He instructed her to take care of the utensils while he arranged and fixed the electrical appliances. Both discussed and did their task whilst bursting into laughter with his witless jokes.

As the sun entrenched his way towards the horizon, the sky had a vivid vanilla clouds dispersed with yellow orange flame. Both of them stood in their gallery watching the night takeover, with hot vanilla infused coffee in their cups. As she took the last dregs of coffee from her cup, her gaze froze on his stable, crease less forehead that glowed for some reason today. He carried the same expression that he carried the day he asked her to marry him.

M, I know we have a lot of differences including our cultures and lifestyles. But when I look at you I see so much more that I can contemplate and mold them in words. You have been a rock solid support as a friend, all these years. I know it won’t be easy but I am sure we could withstand anything if we are together.

His words from the past resonated in her thoughts, and his soft touch bought her in the present. For her his presence and support in all her endeavors including finding a house to call their home. She was ever more in love with him for accepting her monotony and being a source of inspiration and optimism and her colossal strength and mostly her best friend and for being together unwaveringly.
